Our Story
The Big E – The Elephant In The Room – Life Changers, Inc. was founded January 4, 2021 by Melissa Dixon to shine a light on critical issues often overlooked in communities. What began as a web series addressing these topics with informative and impactful discussions inspired her to do even more. Driven by a passion for meaningful change, Mrs. Dixon established a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to provide essential resources and support to individuals and families in need.

The Big E Life Changers, Inc. is committed to bridging gaps in awareness, support, and access to essential resources for underserved and at-risk populations. Our mission is to promote mental wellness, cultural understanding, and community unity through evidence-informed programs, community outreach, and strategic partnerships. By delivering targeted services and connecting individuals and families to critical resources, we work to reduce disparities, strengthen resilience, and ensure equitable access to opportunities—so that no one is left behind.

On September 7, 2024 The Big E Life Changer’s Inc received a Proclamation from William C. Dusch, Mayor, along with the Concord City Council for encouraging all residents to take the time to understand the importance of mental health education and recognize that taking care of ourselves and others includes taking care of mental health.
